Reading with Joy: Virtual Caregiver Book Group

This series meets for 5 weeks on Tuesdays from 11 AM-12 PM March 3, 10, 17, 24, & 31, 2026.

This series will explore the book "Loving Someone Who Has Dementia: How to Find Hope while Coping with Stress and Grief" by Dr. Pauline Boss. Each session will focus on key themes such as ambiguous loss, grief, hope, and resilience. Participants will take part in guided discussions designed to deepen understanding, share perspectives, and build supportive connections. This series will be facilitated by Joy Underhill, a retired business writer, author and award-winning photographer.

Session one will be a virtual visit from the author, Dr. Pauline Boss- “an educator and researcher who is widely recognized for her groundbreaking research on what is now known as the theory of ambiguous loss” (ambiguousloss.com).

This event is hosted by: The Finger Lakes Caregiver Institute at Lifespan.
