World Elder Abuse Awareness Day June 15

Every year on June 15 communities around the world come together to recognize World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (WEAAD)—a time to raise awareness about the abuse, neglect, and exploitation that millions of older adults experience. This day reminds us that everyone deserves to age with dignity, respect, and safety.

We invite you to join us in spreading awareness and taking action.

One simple but powerful way to help is by sharing messages of awareness online. Use our ready-made social media carousel graphics (see examples in right column) to amplify the message, show your support, and encourage others to stand up against elder abuse.

Together, we can shine the light on elder abuse.
