Lifespan is partnering with the Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) Rochester Chapter to host a Day of Hearing in recognition of Better Speech and Hearing Month! Join us at any time throughout the day for an educational workshop or to view and try out a selection of assistive-listening devices before actually buying them!
Students from Nazareth’s Audiology program as well as HLAA members will be offering free hearing screenings - no appointments necessary!

Registration is not required, but encouraged, if you plan to attend the workshops.

9:15-10 am, Overview of HLAA Services & the Assistive Listening Device Demonstration Center
10:15-11 am, Life Before a Hearing Aid
11:15-noon, The Role of an Audiologist & Types of Hearing Aids
1-1:45 pm, Cochlear Implants
2-2:45 pm, The Connection between Hearing Loss & Dementia
3-3:45 pm, Ototoxic Drugs and Tinnitus Mindfulness Strategies
