Being a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias (ADRD) can sometimes feel like a solitary task. However, you are not alone. Join the Rochester Academy of Medicine, the Alzheimer’s Association, Lifespan, and the Empire Justice Center for two hours of information and inspiration for Alzheimer’s caregivers. Join us as we hear from Dr. Thomas Caprio, Director UR Medicine Geriatric Assessment Clinic, about the current science and research related to Alzheimer’s disease and related Dementias and Vicky Ruppert, author of Singing in the Rain: Weathering the Storm of Dementia with Humor, Love, and Patience, to discuss caregiver stress management strategies. Staff from Lifespan of Greater Rochester and the Alzheimer’s Association Rochester & Finger Lakes Region will share local resources, programs and services for caregivers and people living with dementia.

Audience: People caring for a friend or family member living with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias. Open to public & professionals.
