All ages can be impacted by the opiate epidemic in one way or another. While opiate use disorders are more common among younger people, the prevalence among older adults is growing. Older adults are also affected when family members misuse opiates. This workshop will provide increased awareness and education regarding opiate use and misuse as well as information about available resources for recovery in the community. Narcan training (nasal spray medication to counteract the effects of opiate overdose) will be provided and each participant will receive a Narcan kit.
