Small acts make such a big difference.
Helping an older adult pay their bills on time can mean keeping the lights on and staying in their own home.
What Volunteers Do: Assist older adults with routine household finances, including paying bills, preparing and maintaining a household budget, balancing checkbooks, and communicating with creditors. Volunteers visit clients in their homes.
Time Commitment:
About 2 to 3 hours per month, plus attending monthly volunteer meetings. Set your own schedule! We match you with an older person who needs help.
Requirements & Support:
Basic math skills and an understanding of household budgeting.
Lifespan provides full training, ongoing support, and bonding for volunteers.
Locations: Services and volunteer visits take place in Monroe County as well as neighboring regions like Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Orleans, and Steuben counties.

My volunteer, Mike, helps me a lot. I’m telling all my friends about Lifespan.
I don’t know what I would do without you.
Doug is not just my volunteer; he has become my friend.
