Lifespan's 14th Celebration of Aging with guest speaker Willard Scott!
Lifespan's 2010 Celebration of Aging was held on Thursday, March 18, noon at the Riverside Convention Center.
Lifespan has hosted a Celebration of Aging, a community luncheon that calls attention to second half of life role models, since 1995.
1300 people attended the 2010 Celebration of Aging. Past speakers have included Julia Child, Lee Trevino, Helen Thomas, Marv Levy, General Chuck Yeager, Ed Koch, author George Plimpton, Eartha Kitt, Hugh Downs, Carol Channing, Della Reese, Olympia Dukakis and Dr. Ruth Westheimer.
Because of Willard Scott's live birthday wishes to people 100 or older, in 2010, Lifespan honored 22 people age 100 (or older!.
